I have been driving the car more and more recently. I just know how hard Budd parts are to come by. But I have this parts sitting in my yard now so im gonna get the good parts off and do some research to see if some way I can retro fit these parts on

I just got the car home tonight. Its going to go under the knife soon. But im just trying to be somewhat proactive. My Budd brakes are awesome but I know one day somthing is going to happen. I have even contemplated buying a drum brake setup and then disc brake swapping that.

My 67 New Yorker 4 door decided to break a clip on the back left rear door. The clip holds the glass and the window regulator together. Looking to see where I can new ones. And if I can get new glass felt clips as alot of mine are getting rough. And luckily none of my glass is scratched yet!

I ordered a newer alternator as they cant find one for this car and im gonna wire in a newer electronic voltage regulator for it as I have those parts on the shelf. I guess I should modernize it a little bit while im at it.

I unhooked the green (field) wire and hooked it to the positive terminal with lights on. And with running a little off idle.

Thanks for the advice! It was charging great when I went for a cruise and noticed a problem when my blinkers were on. At least I made it home before dark! Car hasnt been on the road in about 3yrs and I have been cruising it every night since I got the engine back in!

Just did the test and it started out at 12.72v with nothing on. Started the car with highbeams on and dropped to 12.25V. I unhooked the green wire and ran a jumper right to the negative on the battery

Got my car running a few days ago. Been doing great until tonight im cruising and my volt guage is around 12.5V. I get it home and put my tester on it and verify my guage is correct. I rev the car up and it goes up to 12.7V. Im suspecting my voltage regulator but i know nothing about these old ones.

Im also running the standard pertronix in my New Yorker and its been trouble free for about 5yrs that we have had it on the car. Even just got the car outta barn last weekend and still workin great!
