    The booster (which was bad) that was in the car when I bought it was not correct. I bought the one in the car from Booster Dewey as it was all he had in stock and I didn't have the correct core to rebuild.

    Well, it's probably not the case here,but...... a number of years ago I bought a '69 Charger that had the same treatment, but in black. Upon closer inspection, it turned out they just covered over a PERFECT interior with that crap, preserving it for eternity. :thumbsup:
