NOT MINE 1970 Polara 2dr HT with 383 for 1200$

It might be growing now in the US but I do not have the impression that those that work on them thereself is really rising. People loving, driving, hoarding them: yes might be on the way up People working on them : on the way down due to age for the most part IMHO Carsten

NOT MINE 1970 Polara 2dr HT with 383 for 1200$

but the amount of people being into Fuselages and willing (or being able) to do all the work mostly themselfs is going down. So they either need to pay someone to do it or let it be. Not enough people out there like you willing to fix up cars. Of course there is a bunch of us hoarding. I do...

it was probably buillt in february with that sequence number but has a march doorsticker. Here is cm23u0c230908 with a 6/70 doorsticker that was probably assembled around 30th april/1st of may (430/501) https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-chrysler-300-2/ Carsten

so what is your guess Doug why the door stickers on Hursts are usually 1-2 months behind the estimated genuine SPDs? Carsten

    300-H HURST nerd stuff...

difficult to answer. The car was probably buillt at Jefferson plant around 422. Average cars would have been finished the same day, getting a doorsticker 4/70. Again not always matching the SPD but the actual month being buillt. There is usally no big time gap. After assembly the regular...

    300-H HURST nerd stuff...

VIN 0C226726 should have a SPD of roughly 422 (when it rolled down Jefferson assembly lane). Its built was probably finalised may/june. So the original door sticker should read 5 or 6/70. Even though all Hurst fender tags say SPD 125 the original doorsticker would show the actual month of...

I don't want to mix up this thread but the "Q" in the VON does not mean it was a regular 300. A "Q" can be a Y28 public relations car or a Y22 Chrysler Lease car/Executive car Carsten

232859 and 232866 are the two highest VINs I currently have pictures of, too. Looking at their VONs they were made in the same batch (j99938 and j99945). Sequence number 2328xx should have a genuine SPD of around 505/506. Then sent to Hurst and probably finished 6 or 7/70. Carsten

    NOT MINE 72 Polara 3K

I haven't been here much lately due to private circumstances. But the behavior to eachother seems to be on the rough side. Reminds me that the society, no matter on which side of the pond, is going down unfortunatly. Instead of having fun & talking about cars we like it seems to have become...
