    Battery or Alternator?

But if I leave my battery unattended, I will be setting it as the battery drains and clock stops or slows.

    low vacuum 383

I really think you need to set it with more initial advance. You my end up with 16 deg initial and 18 inch vacuum. Then if you can get to a distributor machine you can do a recurve. You don't even need a machine, you can get the recurve plates from How to limit mechanical advance in a mopar...

    Battery or Alternator?

I like that, I leave my Imperial connected with a battery tender. I don't want to mess with the clock after a long park, the clock holds fantastic time at 1 minute a month now and I don't want to mess that up. Your light wire with fuss is a great idea.

    Disc brake conversion kits

I think that might be what the Ram Man brake kit is. If you could source the parts yourself, it might cost $500.00 https://therammaninc.com/products/shop_view/C-BODY-1965-1973-FRONT-DISC-KIT-Standard-Rotors-363

    New to C Bodies only

Fantastic car. Love it. Good luck with the trans work, a service manual can take you far on self repairs. There are a few options for disc brake kits. I found these just doing a search, I have no dealings with these companies so maybe some research...

    Disc brake conversion kits

If you go with the Wilwood kit, get the 12.19" rotors. I don't like the Wilwood much because of the aluminum hub and the thinner than stock rotors. A client did one of the Wilwood kits on his Cuda after a shop talked him into it, It grew to be an awful disappointing experience for him. Thats...

Tech tip: How to align ur own suspension at home

I have been doing my own and clients alignments for years with my Snap on/ Blue point gauges, turn plates and string. Hardest part is toe on your own and power steering. Shops just want to set toe and go, the operators really don't know much else and if they will take a classic, it is called...

    YOM PLates

Those plastic blue plates were awful, looked awful as well. I like our old blue plates from late 60s to 72.

    YOM PLates

What I like that California did was the new black plates. Like a state issued custom personalized plate. https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/California-reissues-classic-black-license-plates-6344016.php Maybe if enough 70's car owner write in they will reissue the blue plates. I would love our...

Hello from germany / 440 New Yorker

Your fast idle cam is not releasing enough to allow the curb idle screw to rest on the stop to allow you to adjust. This is why you have a large space between the curb idle screw and the stop.

    vapor lock

What I have found on a couple of push rod fails was that there was a noise like a knock that had me thinking the new engine had a rod knock starting. Then the fuel pressure went away. Relieved I swapped in a new push rod that only lasted a couple of months with lots of summer road trips. Like...

    Random stalling, please help.

Also check the main power from ignition switch to coil and ballast resistor, the connection under dash could have gotten hot and now loose. But if you have electronic ignition, I would start with ECU and also grounds.
