    1975 Monaco Floor Pan Advice?

My 1975 Dodge Monaco needs front floor pans- can anyone offer a source for patch panels or panels from other cars that are fabricated and work? OR do I need to get it done myself with flat sheet metal? Tried to source some online but no luck. Thanks., James

Car won't crank, need help- ideas?

Holy smokes, the starter cranks in neutral! Sooo, sounds like my neutral safety switch went bad, right? The darn thing will not start in park but will in neutral. I'll replace that plug then....quick question: if I start the car in neutral can I then shift into "park" or will it kill the motor?

Car won't crank, need help- ideas?

Actually no, have not messed with anything. I am just troubleshooting the existing condition since I bought it. I have a relay coming today, so I'll try that.

Car won't crank, need help- ideas?

My '75 Monaco won't crank on the key. Here's the riddle: 1. new battery & solenoid 2. when key is turned to start, solenoid clicks 3. I jumped the old solenoid and jumped the starter relay and the started does crank 4. no new wiring or changes to the car have been made. Any ideas? Could this...

74 Dodge Won't Start in Park? (NSS?)

I think this is the troubleshooting method from the manual: GEARSHIFT LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT (Column Shift) (Figs. 3 or 4) (1) Assemble all linkage parts leaving adjustable rod swivel lock bolt loose. (2) Place gearshift selector lever in PARK position and lock steering column with ignition key. (3)...

74 Dodge Won't Start in Park? (NSS?)

I guess so, this is all new to me so I'm not really sure what linkage to check? I'll crawl under there and see what I can figure out.

74 Dodge Won't Start in Park? (NSS?)

Update, I changed out the Neutral Safety Switch and the problem was not that. So here are the issues: a. won't start in park, only neutral b. when car is in Park, the brakes are not applied- it rolls. Does that signal something else or confirm someone's suspicion?

74 Dodge Won't Start in Park? (NSS?)

Perfect, thanks for the pic. Where is this plug, on the lower part of the transmission itself? Near the pan or on top? I appreciate the help!

74 Dodge Won't Start in Park? (NSS?)

Thanks, Polara, do you happen to know what side I need to jack up? I don't even know what this thing looks like.

74 Dodge Won't Start in Park? (NSS?)

Yes, starts right up in neutral. Does the Neutral Safety Switch unscrew and I assume I can access it under the car if I jack up one side?

74 Dodge Won't Start in Park? (NSS?)

My 74 Dodge does nothing when I hit the key in park, but if I shift to neutral it starts right up. Sound like a neutral safety switch? If so, how hard are they to change out? Thanks, Jim

    Can someone ID this carburetor?

Thanks for the identification! So, based on that- I'll try and adjust the two mixture screws to lean it out a bit. Are these good/reliable carbs? Never had one before.

    Can someone ID this carburetor?

Sucker is running WAY too rich and I am not familiar with this model. I think the mixture screws are down on each side of the front hose. Can someone verify my guess? Turn them in to lean out? OR can someone recommend a good solid reliable and cheap replacement? Don't need big power just good...
