not sure glue will work. the wire is a resistor and will possibly put off enough heat to melt glue. the ceramic is a shield / heat sink.

your dash panel grounds through the dash frame. if you are doing your testing with the cluster unhooked, you may want to hook up a jumper wire for a ground.

just low beams or both low and high? you might have a bad dimmer switch. try stomping on it a few times. sometimes they come back to life.

did the lights go out with the door closed? i can't speak for the newer cars like yours but on the older ones, when you open the door, the dash lights ,dome light and ignition key light come on. after the door is closed they stay on for a few seconds before shutting themselves off.

follow big john's advice. your battery will discharge with everything on more than it would normally but your charging system should be capable of keeping up with it. this is the reason for checking everything. with every bad connection more of the alternator output is used to push electricity...

a member here by the name of devinism rebuilds the dash dimmers.

i've had good luck with marvel mystery oil. i set the carb on high idle and dribble it in until it bogs down. i let the smoke clear and do it again. after about 1/2 bottle it always runs better. it's cheap, easy and wont hurt anything.

i can't put my finger on it but something doesn't look right to me. there is nothing here: for this : to make contact with. there should be a copper ring that the button rides on like this on the wheel side of that button so that it is only grounded when depressed: the black plate is a spring...

did you have the steering wheel removed at some point prior to this problem? does the horn still blow when the black spring plate with the connector is removed?

the gauges are in a different configuration for dodge. i don't know if the fury harness can be made to work or not.

i have the mid grade cen-tech. it works well but takes a while to recharge. the air compressor is fairly useless, but the led trouble light is nice and bright.

:wideyed: i would suggest trying to find a good replacement dash harness at the least. i'd bet the bulkhead is melted .
