Fuel pump repacement, what a *****:

This type of socket really makes the job go waaaay easier. I would suggest it in 1/4” drive with at least 6” extension. Hopefully the correct bolts are in the fuel pump, they have a smaller hex head for the bolt size. Remember we drive 50 year old cars:thumbsup:

fuel Cell in 66 sport fury

Check out Spectra Premium they don't list a tank for a 66 Fury but the listing for a 68 shows a tank 40 1/2" long. When I replaced the tank in our 66 New Yorker had to use one listed for a 67 was a little different but works nicely. I think you can find them listed on Rockauto also.

    Steering coupler needed

I tried the solid coupler. It fits but the steering feel is not good at all. You will have to loosen the plate at the fire wall for it to line up. In doing that your steering wheel may not be in the same position. Hope you have better luck than I did.

    Steering coupler needed

I had the same issue with my coupler. Tried the the solid couple. It didn't work well. Ended up getting 2 Dorman 31000 or 31005 one of them is the same size bolt pattern. Cut some 3/8 tubing about an inch long, got longer socket head bolts and double nutted the bolts. Cost less than $ 20.00...

    Dash speaker size? '65/'66 Chrysler

In my 66 New Yorker it was a 6x9 with 2 metal brackets that adapted it to the dash. When we upgraded the sound system , my wife cut out a plexiglass piece that would screw to the two factory brackets and allow the install of two 4" square speakers. Took a couple of prototypes to get the correct...

    66 300 Cluster f*#@ed??

I had the same issue on our 66 New Yorker. If you are not concerned with been original. You can solder wires to the circuit board then solder the pins to the wires. Will be easier to reconnect after cluster is reinstalled. The cluster is not too bad to remove. Will be a pain the first time.

    Replaced fuel tank

The tank came with a new locking ring and seal used them. Was pleased with the seal and placement of the locking ring after it was installed. I could see where the ring could be installed not centered and not fully locked into the three tabs on the tank. Thanks I will keep an eye on it.
