Hi all JayCee (67 Chrysler Newport Custom 383) has a 7 blade fan but no clutch, should i change it to the 4 blade?

I replaced heater core in the Newport and reconnected the vacuum lines. now the defrost door opens for any button you push. is it possible to mix up the vac hoses for the actuators?
