Yes, it pushes in with the wipers off. However, I still haven't gotten around to setting up my washer fluid system, so I don't know if fluid comes out with them off. Thanks for reminding me. I can work on it this weekend.

Just took a pic of mine. Push it in dead center. There a little play it you push the top or bottom but not much.

You just push it in the middle. Yours actually looks recessed some than from what it is supposed to look like.

I put a NOS one in when I rebuilt my dash. It should just push in fairly easily.

I know how that goes. Question: you wouldn't know of a good 70 driver's side quarter panel somewhere, would you? I'm not very well connected with these cars.

The floors otherwise look pretty good. Odd location for it to rot.

I think there’s one somewhere on the forums. I don’t have one on my phone right now.

No need to put in an oven. I just sprayed on and let it do it’s magic. It was probably warm out when I did it however. Just don’t put it on too thick.

Totally not necessary to spend that much.

Unless you plan on putting some filler over your work and then blending in the paint, don't do it. There's no way to get those giant panels perfectly straight with a hammer and dolly unless you're a master at it. Which I'm clearly not.

Oh, they definitely suck. I can't tell you how many hours I had into my quarter panel.

That's a tough fix as it's right on the corner crease. And if you actually look closely down that quarter, you'll see that metal push inwards away from the corner, and then you'll have a spot that bulges out a bit (the pushed in metal has to travel somewhere). You can try and massage that...

Haha. Probably so. When I sent away for material samples from SMS, they sent me the right pattern headliner, but their book said the headliner should be a blue color, not black. Strange considering mine had its original in the car--black.

I got mine from SMS. Not sure if it’s all the same material or not.

That's good info to know. We should start posting this different stuff. It certainly can save people headaches and/or money. Mine is more of a cross-over thatching pattern.

Well, maybe they used multiple headliners in 1970, but that pattern is nothing like the original that was in my car.

I had good results bringing back really dull paint using this system and it's not horrible in price. If you're looking for show quality you might want to use different compounds as well as different buffing wheels. 6 Inch Complete Liquid Ice FinishingSystem - Foam Cutting Tools - Finishing...

Looks like you lost the entire first layer of that window channel. Actually might make it easier to fix than having to form small patches in here and there. With the sport roof at least you don’t have to figure out the depth of those formal corners. That wasn’t easy winging it.
