A Wrapup of Goodbye and Good Riddance

I'm tempted to print this in large font, add "- Big_John" below, and frame it. Excellent sir.

Get your Hankook Optimo H724 WW tires while you can!

The country of MFR should be molded into the sidewall near the rim. On the 15" Hankook Kinergy I checked out last year it said Indonesia. Regardless, a rating of 680/A/A not bad!

    Vogue tyres - opinions

When I had an '85 Eldorado about 15 years ago, I went with 215-75-R15 American Classics ..... much better value than vogues. And the car probably didn't need that extra little bit o' 'bling'.... I miss this car, but if it hadn't been hit, I probably wouldn't have landed into the C-body scene.

    Vogue tyres - opinions

And as mentioned by the OP, here's a photo of Too $hort's Caddy - an '84 drop top Biarritz - on the cover of his 1987 album "Born to Mack". The Eldorado featured Vogue Tyres and had several trim modifications. In a subsequent album - Get in Where You Fit In - that same Eldorado was used in...

    Torsion Bar Isolators

So they take your original metal parts and re-vulcanize rubber onto them? Looks great. I should have saved my broken OEM motor mounts and had them re-cast since replacements are all made overseas.....

    Painting rims

Oil/Alkyds always lay out nicely in the correct temperature range. And runs can be corrected before they dry. Benjamin-Moore "super spec" alkyd urethane is a step up, and you can get this color matched. POR-15 also lays out really nice as a base coat. Like sprays, you'll need primer and a...

Lower Control Arm Pivot Shaft Grease

In my opinion, the only place I see the need for improved bushings would be the front sway bar and strut rods, if available in urethane. The stock rubber ones are flimsy. I also see FF has what looks like an improved rear shackle kit too, that might be a nice upgrade with minimal ride comfort...

Looking for tires for my '67 Monaco

Some of the most recent tire "research" has been documented here (link below) however this focuses on 15" tires. If you can still get Toyo Extensa in a 14" WW I'd be all over that. Sadly they're no longer available in 15". My New Preferred Whitewalls for C Bodies
