    Not sure about Vansauto

The original, 6 volt minimalist sender with cork float in my '53 dodge truck works perfectly. I've never had to touch it. Somewhere along the way, technology has been lost. Humph.

    Not sure about Vansauto

I'm fortunate that I had the means to cut the tank up. Some people would have been up the creek, or if they had to have their mechanic do this they would have been charged for that too. More pics.... which remind me the soldered joint where the vents exited leaked too (on the tank that replaced...

    Not sure about Vansauto

I had a leaky tank from them a few years ago. When I contacted them about it they made me send photos and would only send a replacement tank if I removed and cut up the defective tank and send them photos of that too. That was kind of a biotch. Also, the new sending units aren't accurate -...

What WCFB carbs will work on my 57 Plymouth Belvedere 301 v8?

That's just the model number. Each one is different in that it was specifically made for that engine, that car, that year. Differences include choke setup, jet, needle, and power valve sizes, linkages, and other add-on accessories, such as a dashpot, solenoid, etc... You might find a core on...

What WCFB carbs will work on my 57 Plymouth Belvedere 301 v8?

I also heard that WCFB stood for "White Cast Four Barrel" for the zinc that was used for the main body casting. Although the zinc casting is sandwiched between a cast iron throttle body and a cast aluminum air horn. So then, would AFB stand for "Aluminum Four Barrel" ?

1957 DeSoto Hemi in the Junkyard

I know the Hemi is legendary, but so is the wedge and in third place the poly (in terms of hype). Although, no one really knows of those latter two terms nor are there any emblems or logos to promote them, that I know of. The word "hemi" sounds cool thus why the hype and notoriety even among...

    What Happened To DeSoto

I recall the article that ran in HCC a while back (2011, dang) that compared a '56 DeSoto against a Fuel-injected '57 Bel Air. HCC got some flak from its Bowtie-loyalist subscribers about that...
