    just an update.. car was painted on the weekend by my son Dan at his shop and returned home this morning to my garage for assembly. Will start with installation of headliner and welting... going to be busy for few months because I am not on a reality show that can have it finished by next weeks...

    thanks for the replies.. have found that the weather strip is affixed to the bottoms of the doors with a long piece of wire that bent at intervals to form the shape of a little arrow head and that point of the arrow head is pushed through the holes in the weather strip and then clip into holes...
