    1965 Dodge 383 Fuel Boiling

Put one in myself just to save the battery at first, then as a backup to the mechanical that sort of pushes fuel most of the time... :) Separate, insulated fuel line from the back, added check valves so that each pump is not pushing the other! Good on ya to mention.

I think you are right, Mobileparts. I'm checking more pics... I wouldn't be surprised if something "happened" to the car to make it that way. Thank you for your info.

    Thermostat Help

That's how I understand it, too. If the cooling capacity can only bring the temp down to 195, a 180 Tstat will be wide open all the time. Temp readings will never go below 195 unless the equation changes (cooler air or less heat, etc.) In my humble experience with other lines of combustion...

Need Real Pics Steering Linkage (idler and gear arms)

has2bmopar, Did my checks on the bottom and found out that mid-year '68 Cs had a modification with a different bushing on the end bracket, and that explains why mine looks different than yours. My '66 has a bracket that's by design, slightly lower than Cs from mid-68 on... Yours looks so...

    Thermostat Help

mckinnon45, Can you find a 190? What was the FSM value recommendation at the time? Do you still have the pollution control paraphernalia on it? If I remember, EPA mandates required some engine operations to increase Tstats settings. My '66-300-440 was supposed to be 180, but I don't have...

    Thermostat Help

Commando1, You bring up a point that always confused me. My understanding of Tstats is that it's the temp that "starts" the flow to the radiator in increasing temps, and "stops" in decreasing temps to prevent inefficient operation (and dangerous for lubrication). I have never known the Tstat...

Need Real Pics Steering Linkage (idler and gear arms)

Good day, All, Got new tires; tire store can't align my '66 300 because their super-fandango-laser attachments won't work with the fender overhang; took to classic car alignment shop (Glenn's Alignment & Brake Service in Costa Mesa, CA is almost a mini car show!) and they found the center link...
