Great tip. Unfortunately that gent is on holidays for a bit. What are the consequences of removing the unit temporarily while I wait for the replacement to arrive, by simply reconnecting the hoses with an insert to bridge the gap?

Help! New to this forum, and on the search for a 'water valve for the Auto Temp 2 system'. That's what I'm told this is...any suggestions on where to track one down? It's for my 73 New Yorker Brougham - been in the family since brand new.
