New '67 Fury II Station Wagon Interior

I’m on my third mopar resto. Buy fabric from SMS. Take to interior guy. He builds foam blocks as needed. Really helps to have the old seat covers if you are putting the same seats back in.

New '67 Fury II Station Wagon Interior

Love the ashtray on the seat back! A good bump and your stabbing the driver in the back with a lit smoke! Of course, without a good bump it would still have been fun to miss the ashtray on some of the people i hung out with back then.

Any tips on fitting in molded carpet?

I used some basic contact cement. It stretched a little but I found I didn’t need it to stretch that much based on how I cut it. If it fails, it will be easy to regular with something better. I’m betting the weldwood is what I needed for holding up the head liner in another car. Could never get...

12 month restoration comes down to....

That went from incredibly difficult to super easy. The new part I had was for a ventless front window and by its length, would have gone around the entire window channel necessitating window removal. When I started to dismantle the window given the great advice here, something didn’t look...

12 month restoration comes down to....

... replacing the window channel on the passenger door. Never worked with windows. Might as well be doing an appendectomy. It looks impossible. The window is clearly bigger than any cavity in the door shell. But it must come out like if a stone broke it. You can’t see most of what you have to...

Any tips on fitting in molded carpet?

That is a good looking tip. Soften the auto carpet with copious amounts of contact cement. I will try that tonight.

Any tips on fitting in molded carpet?

9 Pass and fairly low miles so I am guessing original. Pretty ratted out. I am just trying to figure out how to lay out the carpet. I assume you glued it all in place? I was thinking of running width wise with the sides and bottom one piece and then a piece down the front of the footwell and...

Any tips on fitting in molded carpet?

I got a steamer for cleaning seats and parts. Barely worked better than a scrub brush. I’ll try it.

Any tips on fitting in molded carpet?

I got that far but there is the molded pieces. Steam? Hot iron? Or heat gun and stretch it?

Any tips on fitting in molded carpet?

Got the interior back Friday. Assembling now hoping to beat the salt on the roads. Exterior is complete except for a few pieces of trim where I want to buff out some paint issues.

Any tips on fitting in molded carpet?

nobody seemed to have pre molded carpet for my 9 pass T&C. SMS sold me the carpet plus a pile extra for the rear. Now Iam ready to fit the rear with carpet. I have that hump on the left to fit and then I have to figure something out for the footwell. All suggestions and tips appreciated.

Any thought on what to while this is out?

It's the power seat rack from my 77 T&C. Won't get easier to tune it up. Anyone know off hand if there is any maintenance I can do to it?

Need headliner material and new front seats

The existing headliner is 'flexible' and removable. It is not that hard plastic type that one would stretch and glue vinyl too. It is a very thin fabric bonded pretty permanently to about an 1/8" of some kind of fiber.

Need headliner material and new front seats

Got this today from SMS. Very impressive. Super old-school, but how else would you do it! I will check the colors later when I get to the shop. For those with solid headliners in their formal, they sent a sample of material for the headliner. It is no where close to stock, but matching. It is...

Need headliner material and new front seats

On your suggestion, I think i will find out from my local AACA buds where everyone goes for upholstery and see if I can just get the one seat done locally. Hopefully I will have your luck.

Need headliner material and new front seats

Good thing I don't need it! Just the drivers seat seat portion has separated seams on the inserts. Could an upholsterer resew it onto a backing cloth and reinstall it?

Need headliner material and new front seats

Looked like fabric on fiber. I figured I would get something close in the cloth department and glue it on. But thinking that through, it might be too heavy. Maybe a dye or just cleaning it. Dye might get tricky. I have water stains on the front section and a hole where they must have put a small...
