Looking for the horn relay - 60 Plymouth.

Anyone know roughly where it is (besides just under the dash!) I crawled up under there and even swept through with a camera but can’t see anything that looks like a relay.

Time for some Day 2 Upgrades!

The black with black wheels looks awesome. Maybe i should paint the whole car! Scope creep!

Time for some Day 2 Upgrades!

I’m liking the baby moon idea.

Time for some Day 2 Upgrades!

The body and paint is pretty beat. I think it looks ‘better’ in person. But with the skirts off I play with the wheel covers. The car I was emulating had no skirts and no rear covers but had front covers.

Looking better already.... Skirts and caps gone and it better matches all the dents!

Time for some Day 2 Upgrades!

That was what I saw in the Heat of The Night which got me looking for one of these. Maybe I’ll pull them off and see how I like it. Would give it a little more mean.

Time for some Day 2 Upgrades!

I wasn’t thinking baby moons or torque thrust. Great ideas. I’ll go look at them. The paint is well worn and it has lots of ‘whiskey dents’ - original owner’s reason for them - apparently from ‘parking in the garage by feel at night’ so I was hoping to ‘mean up’ the exterior. I’ll post some...

Time for some Day 2 Upgrades!

The car is finally done, so I call it ‘new’. Took 5 months to rebuild the rear end (thanks for all the help folks). Everything is new and/or rebuilt but the body (leaving it as found from original owner..... thinking it needs new wheels. Slotted Anson rims? Cragars? What would an old Plymouth have?

Looking for rear end parts for 1960 Plymouth

Dr. Diff. Couldn’t help. Only does 65 and newer. We’re going to pull the part numbers off the current bearings and seals. We should be able to cross match to Timkin and National. I did find Yukon. Might just call them too.

Looking for rear end parts for 1960 Plymouth

Right now i am stuck with the car at one shop, pumpkin at another. Trying to manage finding the right parts as the first set ‘didn’t fit’. I believe I ordered parts for a Dana 60 and I am thinking from my reading at forwardlook that I may have a tapered axle and would need a different kit. Is...

Looking for rear end parts for 1960 Plymouth

Thought since the whole entire car was rebuilt, the only thing left was the rear end. All the seals were leaking a little so I thought ‘what the heck, let’s rebuild’. That was 4 months ago. Shop said the first round of parts I ordered didn’t fit. Bearing specifically. I got the spec’d rebuild...

What is the secret to finding wiper blades for a ‘60 Plymouth?

Here are the pics. Together and apart. I was not finding refills anywhere and only sporadic online. Nothing adapts to that wiper arm and I had to pry off the attachment point for the wiper blade holder

What is the secret to finding wiper blades for a ‘60 Plymouth?

They exist! Thank you for at least showing me what I am looking for. But I need 16 and it looks fairly specifically 16.

What is the secret to finding wiper blades for a ‘60 Plymouth?

It appears to have the original Anco wiper arms and blades. Nothing readily available seems to attach. I have tripped over some NOS parts for other years, but no luck on anything that looks close. What else have you done to replace your blades?

    "Dashing" through Mecum Kissimmee

That’s what I think whenever I keep seeing the same old overpriced cars at the $25 car corrals - $25 for a premium park spot and you can tell the wife you tried. but a Mecum auction? Even midweek would be $500/car anyway plus transport....

    "Dashing" through Mecum Kissimmee

That was an odd strategy. Even if you do them all sepaerate with reserves, you at least get a benchmark for the next auction and can haggle post auction with each bidder. Almost sounds like a bull headed seller who wouldn’t listen to the auctioneer.

Interesting Article on Value Trend of Forward Look Cars Compared to Other Cars of the Era

I think I’m with you. Cars are not an investment. I specifically sought out a 60 Fury to make sure it gets to another generation and let people see that cars are really fast art. the forward looks are all amazing but I’ll put my unibody, aero-wheeled, ‘stabilized’, ‘60 at the top of the heap!
