headers that fit? Or better exhaust manifolds?

A friend bought a set of those for his 64, and he could not get them to clear. Maybe there are more than one maker of the eBay headers? He ended up using B body Magnum manifolds, and they fit very well, but, I don't think they will clear my long ram intake manifolds.

headers that fit? Or better exhaust manifolds?

Has anyone found headers that fit the 60-64 Big Block full size cars? I have a 1960 Chrysler Windsor that I plan to put in a 413 with long ram manifolds on, and I would like to add some headers, or at least some better flowing cast iron manifolds. Anyone have experience and suggestions? Thanks

Long ram cars. Inner fender access panels vs no access panels

It is an often repeated myth that the cut outs were for spark plug access. For the cars with body coloured engine bays, the cut outs were needed to clear the long rams when the body drop happened on the assembly line. Cars with black inner fenders were painted in pieces, then assembled, so...

    60 Fury floorpans

The floors can be fabricated without too much trouble. The pans are pretty much flat with some stiffening ribs. I have made them and as far as floors go, they are quite simple to fab

    60 Fury floorpans

The 60-61 main interior floors have a large hump to accommodate the cast iron automatics. in 62, the hump was reduced in size. The 62-64 floors will fit right into the 60-61, as long as you don't need the large hump for transmission clearance. 64 Chrysler interior floors and trunk floors will...

61 Polaras, 62 Chryslers and 62-64 880's. Same but different

Yes, 62 NY was 126", and the rest were 122". The 60-62 126" cars use longer fenders, hoods, and stub frame and related bits

61 Polaras, 62 Chryslers and 62-64 880's. Same but different

Yes, under the skin, they are virtually identical. All 60-64 full size cars use the same trunk floor. 118", 122" and 126" wheelbases. All 60-61 interior floors are the same. Large hump All 62-64 interior floors are the same. Small hump The rear footwells are different lengths between 118" and...

Long ram cars. Inner fender access panels vs no access panels

That makes sense. The cars with black inner fenders and rad support were painted in pieces, then assembled, therefore, no need for the removable panels

    61 FURY convertable basket case

Same width. All 60-64 Full size cars are basically identical underneath. 118" Dodges and Plymouths have shorter rear footwells and rockers. 122" and 126" Dodges, Chryslers, and Desotos are identical lengths unibody, but the 126" versions have longer bolt on stub frames, fenders and hoods. Main...

    64 Dodge 880 383 4 speed

that is a beauty. So, I wonder if any"civilian" 64 Dodge 880's were built with the 413, and did any come with the ram induction? Imagine a 413 cross ram 4 speed 64 880 2 door hardtop. Since the 64 300K was available with that combo, they certainly could have built them.

    64 Dodge 880 383 4 speed

That's a super cool car. While it is very interesting, I am asking about 64 880's with 4 speeds. I think a 64 383 4 speed 880 2 door hardtop is cooler than a 64 Impala SS 4 speed, or a Galaxie 4 speed, but I imagine they are rarer than rare

    61 FURY convertable basket case

Learning to weld in panels takes experience. Practice on something less desirable/valuable to hone your skills. Take an old 70's Chevy truck fender or door, and buy patch panels (they are very cheap for those trucks). This would help you learn the skills to cut and fit, butt weld, grind, hammer...

    61 FURY convertable basket case

The thing I like about doing basketcases, is there's nowhere to go but up. That Fury convertible is a cool project. Great colors too. Any 61 Plymouth 4 door can donate fenders, hood, trunk lid, bumpers, dash, door hinges and many other parts. Doors are the same as 60-64 Dodge full size, 62...
