That works but it shows every new post from all forums. A lot of those forums I haven't been following. I'll try your approach for awhile and give it a test ride. :steering:

A forums list screenshot, all titles are bold and the avatar's of those containing unread threads are bold. The threads of a forum snapshot. Here the rules reverse, all avatar's are bold and only the titles of threads containing unread posts are bold. I like this style the best.

Changes were made awhile back that I think are confusing. Forum title lines have titles always bold with the avatar bold if unread posts are contained. If the posts are all read, the Forum titled avatar switches to not bold. Threads within the forum behave in reverse with avatar's never bold...

The are a number of pinned threads that are obsolete or just not being accessed anymore, maybe time to unpin them?

I've been scanning and cleaning customer's systems since 1983 but after retiring in 2006 I haven't kept up with all with all the fancy scans used today. I use Microsoft Security Essentials, Grisoft and a lot of experience to avoid infections. So what freeware do you recommend?

Today it started again with the can't load timeout type messages and it appears the culprit maybe one of the AD sites. The messages flashing by on the lower left corner of my screen go too fast for my old eyes to read, but the little I catch looks like AD rather than FCBO. I'm using an ASUS i5...

It's not just an Apple problem, my notebook still periodically stalls waiting for a network response. Most times I just close the page and come back later. Could there be some bad RAM?

Yup - between iPads, iPhones, Asus pads, my notebook and all the gizmos my kids have, I decided I needed HP. My house and property has no dead spots, the Netgear stuff is well worth the price. The last unit I had, a D-Link DL-655, was a piece of junk with dead spots. My Kobo readers wouldn't...

Could be, but, why does it only affect FCBO? My router is a Netgear Nighthawk 7000 dual band and my ISP feed is 150 mip. Works well and is quick. My thinking is there is a hand shake problem and because it seems to be affecting members all over the map, it's probably real close to the FCBO...
