I actually know why there's no trunk light... it was so you wouldn't get lit up pulling supplies out of the trunk before a raid. And I'm guessing you're not gonna get away with driving around with a shotgun mounted up front lol... especially in Cali. But awesome thread! I've always wanted a cop...

Oh no regardless of what color they painted the engine at the factory, I say it shoulda been turquoise. when I finally get mine that will be job number 1, is paint the engine turquoise... didn't they (Ma Mopar) call it hemi orange? I call it blegh. I hated it on chevies, too. Hell, that's fords...

    1971 New Yorker limousine

Don't the Swiss have a thing for Cadillacs? Obviously, as everyone knows the Finns are better drivers, so I'm not surprised they prefer their Mopars... I think some kind of extra-large car grudge match may be in order :3gears:

I do love the turquoise engine, but I thought all engines after 68 were orange? Which, BTW is a stupid and ugly color for an engine. Or is it just B/RB & Hemis? I know you're not going all original I was just wondering...

Most car shows don't feature 2004 Cadillac Devilles so I'm still good on that one lol. Plus the custom metalwork on the rear makes it unique. Fun fact, 2004 was the last year for the hood emblem for cadillacs, in 2005 they moved it to the grille. Interesting on a caddy forum, not so much here lol

I'm seeing Y-codes as stuff like "dealer Demo car" and "Show Paint finish", which makes some kind of sense with the oddball colors and trim...

    300 Fenders are BIG

First gen Camaros always annoyed me. I guess I just think that they aren't nearly as good looking as just about anything else from that time, especially in 67 and 68. And who wants to go to a car show and park next to several HUNDRED identical cars. I don't care what your dream 1st gen is...

Back in my mud bogging days we would weld a short piece of internally threaded black iron pipe to the underside of the floor, then thread in a pipe plug from up top to drain water out of the floors. That is, if your truck HAD floors lol
