    Radiator Core Support

A good body shop would be able to open up the 22" opening for a 26" radiator without much trouble, and would be able to make it look factory. Probably cheaper than cutting and installing a new radiator core support. Had that done on my 67 Coronet when I switched from small block to big block.

Before I go posting in the "Wanted" section

I'll suggest Topher McGinnis, a.k.a. "headlight motor man". He rebuilds Mopar wiper motors, and restores them to look correct and factory fresh. He also does hidden headlight motors, power window motors and electrical switches. His nick name refers to his skill on 66-67 Charger headlight motors...

    Convertible carpet question

Thats what I was thinking too. The 4 door carpet is longer on the ends to extend around the curved ends of a 4 door's back seat. I was considering a 4 door carpet for that reason. but wasn't sure if that would be factory cut for a B pillar. Pretty interior by the way.

    Convertible carpet question

I'm ready to order carpet for my 66 Polara convertible. Auto Custom Carpet, Legendary, Stock Interiors, Classic Industries, and Rock Auto all say the carpet they have is for hardtops and sedans, not convertibles. Some specifically say "will not fit convertible". Any suggestions?

    Anyone want to discuss This??

I was born on the east coast, into a Ford family. Well, no one else in the family was really into cars, but, my parents always had Fords. When my older brother started driving, he also went through a series of Fords. But, there was an event which left an impact on me. It was about 1967 and I was...

    Wheel covers

Probably the best looking (and one of the heaviest) wheel covers ever put on a Mopar. There's no "Dodge" emblem on there. So, get a complete set and run them on your Fury (if your steel rims are wide enough to accommodate them).

    Wheel covers

They were used on the 66 Charger, 66 Monaco 500, 66 Monaco 500, and possibly available on other 66 Monacos and Polaras as an extra cost option. The same wheel cover was used on the same 67 Dodge models, but in 67, the spinner center was eliminated. There was a sort of Fury application. They were...

What are the chances? A passing C body breaks down in front of my house.

I figured I wasn't the only 68 Cuda owner named Jim. But I am a bit surprised I'm not the only 68 Cuda owner named Jim on For C bodies only.

What are the chances? A passing C body breaks down in front of my house.

Got home from Spring Carlisle today to find a dead mauve Sport Fury parked in front of the house. Talked to the owner. Car died out on RT 7 and he coasted it onto my street to get out of highway traffic. He thinks his break down was due to a faulty voltage regulator. I got home too late to be...

    Factory 4-Speed-C-Body-Photo-Thread

I've been looking for a 66 Polara convertible myself. Doesn't need to be a 4 speed though. But even 66 automatic verts aren't all that easy to find at a reasonable price.

Not mine, but this 66 Polara showed up at a car show last summer.

    Definition of C-Body

Actually, there was a very good reason for the 1960 and 61 Dart lineup (Phoenix, Pioneer, & Seneca). Things just didn't go as planned for Chrysler. In the 50's there were Dodge Plymouth dealers, DeSoto Plymouth dealers and Chrysler Plymouth dealers. Chrysler decided to change things up and put...

    Definition of C-Body

How ever everyone decides to classify cars such as the 63-64 Chrysler and 62 to 64 Dodge 880, it pretty much has to include all the full size uni-body Mopars from 60-64. They are all the same under the skin. The 62 Dodge 880 was created, after all, by attaching the front of the 61 Dodge to the...

It´s time for the Slab picture thread

Had the 66 Sport Fury out for a drive today. Stopped at the farm market across the road from me to get one of their delicious pumpkin pies. They were sold out of pumpkin pies, so all I got were these pictures.

    confused

I hate power brakes on 60's Mopars. I have manual brakes on most of my old Mopars, but power drum brakes on my 66 Fury and power disc brakes on my 68 Charger. I like the feel of the manual brakes better (with drum or disc brakes). The power brakes just don't really provide the feedback of how...

    66 sport fury strangeness

My guess is that the front fenders are off a non 66 Sport Fury model, or from a 1965 Plymouth. The Sport Fury emblems were behind the front wheel wells on the 65. Mounting the Sport Fury emblems where they are was likely to utilize one or more existing holes from a different model's emblems...

Move up to Chrysler '68 ... unveiling our latest C-body acquisition

Great car, and spectacular scenery. But you needn't have waited. You can usually get the best pictures of cars on overcast days or in full shade. The lack of full direct sunlight eliminates the difficulty of photographing with glare and harsh shadows.
