    Door stuck. Ideas?

It’s really stupid I didn’t catch this before. I put new carpet in. I haven’t put the sill plates back yet and the carpet was binding the door, pushing up on it . D’oh!!!!

    Door stuck. Ideas?

Thanks for those photos. It seems to be working fine now. It requires a more firm closing than the driver side but ok otherwise.

    Door stuck. Ideas?

Gave it a swift kick and it opened. I pulled panel off first to look for anything broken or loose. One pic is gently pushing and letting go. It doesn’t close completely. Closing harder or keeping my hand on the handle seems to close well. Original problem was the outside button not releasing...

    Door stuck. Ideas?

I actually had the panel off lubed everything and then put it back together. I only tried the outside handle that had been sticking but did not try closing the door. Now, I guess I will remove the panel again and see if I can get it open. Bummer.

    Door stuck. Ideas?

Passenger door wasn’t closing well. It flew open when my daughter was riding so I wanted to fix ASAP. The outside handle button was staying in. This morning, I greased everything with lithium grease and the button seemed smooth. Lightly closing, it wouldn’t close all the way. Slamming got it...

    seat belt bolts stripped

Floors look good.! I had the nut pull out of the steel taking passenger side belt out. Found a plate tapped for standard 7/16-20 used for vehicles with no prior seatbelts. It welds in.

Original upholstery? 67 fury sport fasttop.

I looked at Dante’s where I got my seat covers. They show the lines. Dante’s sells Legendary Auto Interiors products. The ones they sent for my 68 fast top were a match for the originals. DMPS-5471 Mopar Seat Cover 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury Rear Bench - dantesparts.com

    Temp gauge repair

My old style mechanical VR failed and fried the gauges. I have proper nichrome wire on the way to rewind both. I have a bunch of LM317 voltage regulators laying around. That will replace the old mechanical unit. May see if I can build a circuit to pulse the voltage like the original. Usually...

    Temp gauge repair

This may help someone else. In a nutshell-count the turns. If you use a slightly larger wire wire you can use less turns. This is the old coil that was burned out from a garage changing my battery cable and leaving it loose. The needle is held on by two bends-one from the coil form and one...

    Seat covers arrived!

Seat finished. Took a lot less time than the first one I did. New seat foam is very expensive. I went to a local place (Foam And Fabric) which sells auto seat foam. I bought a piece to fill the hole. I bought a thinner piece to cover the entire seat cushion so the filler doesn’t stand out.

    Seat covers arrived!

The carriage bolts for the left seat support were broken off. Replacing them today. Hoping I can tap them out with some PB Blaster and a hammer.

I am off work today. Decided it would be a good day to stop procrastinating on the driver’s seat. Back is done. Starting on the bottom now.

    Weatherstrip question.

Can someone tell me what the name of the weatherstrip I need is called? It's the one on the rear passenger window. I can't really look for it because I am not sure what it is called.

    Mopar key question

I wonder about the locks. When I got the car, the lock for the trunk was missing the piece of metal that holds tension on the lock cylinder. Not sure.
