Power window repairs do's and NEVER DO's !! Very painful lesson!

Here's one for ya. My wife's friend was unloading her horse a few weeks ago. The horse was backing out of the trailer and somehow my wife's friend's fingers got caught in the lead rope in a weird position. The rope, which is about 5/8" thick, severed 5 fingers between both of her hands. They...

    FYI On Adhesion Promoter

Good to know sir! I plan on doing the package tray, sail panels, and the console on my 300 (whenever natural disasters quit happening). I have a can of Bulldog ready to rock. I'll stay away from the SEM.

Correct trunk mat search 65 Chrysler

Good luck, amigo. My 66 was exactly the same style. It came out in vacuum size pieces. This came up a year or so ago in another thread. As best as I can tell, no one makes the textured black rubber style.

    Cost to Reupholster Seats?

I paid about half that just for the rear seat upholstery from Legendary. Not including foam, batting, and labor. Pull the trigger ASAFP!

Dash LEDs '65 and 66? How difficult?

I didn't swap LEDs but I did do the procedure to replace the few burnt out incandescent bulbs in my '66 300. It's not difficult, just tedious. The FSM is your friend. You have to drop the column, remove all the bezels, remove the fuel and ammeter, disconnect the speedo and trip odometer, then...

Hey Bryon, is this just to make our buddies in the Midwest and up north jealous? I'll post a pic of me jumping in the pool later!

    Door panel progress

Those look killer! The wife wants to know what kind of sewing machine you're using. Hopefully I can put her and her fancy industrial Pfaff to work on our panels.

Correct 66 300 carpet heel pad

Ok, did a little more research and found this article: L Carpet Looks like the old stitching can be cut and the pads glued to the new carpet, so long as you specify no factory heat applied pad. Thanks for all the suggestions, guys!

Correct 66 300 carpet heel pad

Looks like a little tab at each end of the strip. The strips themselves look hollow. Thanks Ross, I'll check them out!

Correct 66 300 carpet heel pad

Boom! Good call on the 300 club. Screen shot from their website. Looks like I'll need to put my wife to work on her Pfaff industrial sewing machine!

Correct 66 300 carpet heel pad

Lame, that's what I was afraid of. The carpet itself isn't in horrible condition save for the wear right in front of the rubber pad. Mike, When you cut your pads out, we're they heat/chemical welded to the carpet?

Correct 66 300 carpet heel pad

Might be aluminum. The inserts are pretty stout. They're on both driver and passenger sides.

Correct 66 300 carpet heel pad

So I've seen tons of posts regarding fit, color, etc. For anyone who has replaced the carpet in their 66 300, do the aftermarket kits from any vendor have the correct heel pads with the stainless trim? Thanks guys!
