    Loss of fuel under throttle.

Hey Mighty Mats, Just checking in on this thread. Assuming all the dust has settled on this one. Did you ever confirm beyond all doubt what the culprit was? Thanks, Mike

Possible Idea for Stalling Problem-77 New Yorker

Double check your fuel filter and hoses/lines while you are at it. Cheap/easy to do. Especially if there is a pin hole leak prior to the pump, you might hit pay dirt! Good luck!

Possible Idea for Stalling Problem-77 New Yorker

Since the car has headers, does it have the stock non-adjustable lifters, or have the heads been swapped? Are their any other ignition or engine modifications?

Different car, still a similar 68 Newport, but I need to rebuild the tranny only on this one, but the trick seems to be getting to the top 2 bellhousing bolts. The engine is pushed back...

    gas delivery question

Thanks Folks, the line swap was a snap. I threaded the old front line with a piece of 22awg galvy fence wire, and it worked perfect. Check out the holy grail found behind the back part of the rear seat. I will remove it someday and put it in plastic, but it has an artistic/purist component...

    gas delivery question

Thanks Train, will do. Just ordered my "2 piece kit". Curious if the kit ends in the tank, or outside of the tank.

The previous owner, or one of the previous owners, high-schooled the car more than a bit. It looks like the fuel line through the frame in the front of the car became pinched and...
