Pinions...do you mean the pucks in the gear head of the motor? If so, use steel nuts as per the repair thread I did and you never have to do the repair again. You also will not have to consider some other modification.

Pop the switch out from the other side...gently pry.
Once out, you'll see that white connector is flat with 5 (I think) round hope that the small pins in the switch pop into.
Lower rear seat cushion- Push to rear of car about 2 inches, then lift, then pull toward you.

I have removed/ installed the glass on Formals many times before...but I am confused are you pulling the glass or regulator?
First step is to unbolt the black guide at the top of the door. Mark the location well to keep your glass adjustment.
I just laid it in place and placed the seat over it...mine is 9 pass and the carpet does not go as far back as what I see in the pics. Is yours a 6 pass?
