Hood open. top down. As for someone asking to see my engine, I go to Car Shows to see other cars, not stand by mine all day. I did receive a trophy from the show in this picture.

I agree. But!!! In California it won't pass Smog Inspection if the lean burn is off. I put it back on on my '79 360 Cordoba every other year when it had to have a Smog Check. Check your local Smog Laws first.

I am absolutely unaware of that. I thought that by '70 they only appeared on 4-door and ragtop cars, and gone by '71.

The '79 Cordoba I bought in 1997 had the same issue. At that time I was able to buy the parts at the local Chrysler Dealer; doubt that can happen today, so I am glad you have been given suggestions. Good luck!

They're not that bad. I had a 360 4bbl in a '79 Cordoba; everything was within easy reach. Easier to swap plugs in that than in my '70 Newport.

Don't know if it's a GT, and it's not mine, but here's one I saw at the show in Sacramento in 2017. Car was in great shape! (And, yes, these probably don't "belong" in a C Body site.)

No, this WAS a problem 25 years ago, and further back. Look up the fires caused by lighten strikes in the "Siege of 87." Very similar event, over 480 strikes led to many fires. The practice of the USFS of putting out fires for 170 years, plus the Government bowing to pressure from groups like...
