Has anyone ever won a car show with their C body?

The following pictures ae from a show in 2010, at a restaurant in Bakersfield, the Chuy's Rods and Rides Show. I had y car parked next to my son's Gremlin and my Buddy's over-the top custom '68 Barracuda. The Grem had been on the road for less than two months, and the Plymouth was for sale for...

Has anyone ever won a car show with their C body?

Hood open. top down. As for someone asking to see my engine, I go to Car Shows to see other cars, not stand by mine all day. I did receive a trophy from the show in this picture.

Has anyone ever won a car show with their C body?

I won some classes at show, but never the show itself, and don't expect to.

    76 New Yorker in Georgia

I agree. But!!! In California it won't pass Smog Inspection if the lean burn is off. I put it back on on my '79 360 Cordoba every other year when it had to have a Smog Check. Check your local Smog Laws first.

    New Member 1974 New Yorker

That's very true. My '93 B250 Van had them come to think of it.

I am absolutely unaware of that. I thought that by '70 they only appeared on 4-door and ragtop cars, and gone by '71.

    1979 MAGNUM GT

The '79 Cordoba I bought in 1997 had the same issue. At that time I was able to buy the parts at the local Chrysler Dealer; doubt that can happen today, so I am glad you have been given suggestions. Good luck!

    78/79 Magnum GT pics

They're not that bad. I had a 360 4bbl in a '79 Cordoba; everything was within easy reach. Easier to swap plugs in that than in my '70 Newport.

    78/79 Magnum GT pics

Don't know if it's a GT, and it's not mine, but here's one I saw at the show in Sacramento in 2017. Car was in great shape! (And, yes, these probably don't "belong" in a C Body site.)

SMELLS LIKE HELL OUTSIDE! EARTHQUAKES AND WILDFIRES FOR THE GOLDENSTATE

Agreed. They are doing what Japan failed to do in WWII: setting the west on fire. Those are the actions of enemies of this Country.

SMELLS LIKE HELL OUTSIDE! EARTHQUAKES AND WILDFIRES FOR THE GOLDENSTATE

No, this WAS a problem 25 years ago, and further back. Look up the fires caused by lighten strikes in the "Siege of 87." Very similar event, over 480 strikes led to many fires. The practice of the USFS of putting out fires for 170 years, plus the Government bowing to pressure from groups like...

Cheap plastic one I bought to use in my Fifth Avenue in '92. Came from Pep Boys; doubt they're still made. You can just see it in this picture .

    75 Cordoba

I'm not a fan of burnouts at any minute, unless I'm watching the NHRA; they serve a purpose there.
