Wow, just amazing. As previously mentioned, just looking at the inside door panels gives an idea of the overall condition of the car. Now just repair what you must, and enjoy driving it in the coming years! Nice Christmas present ;)

The ones i have are aftermarket, metal ones off ebay. Few years down the line, they have no pitting. But i do store the car indoors. 1971 Chrysler Newport Custom 383, rebuilding in Europe

If u look closely in the other thread with pics of the engine bay, there is plenty of rust spots on the firewall. This stub frame deal must be just a tip of the iceberg. I'm sure there's much more rust lurking around in hard to reach places!

Rust issue is obvious, but looks like it also has a bondo problem. Recon it is completely salvagable, with the right amount of work and $ ;)

Keeping it short & simple, these cars (well any classic cars) are not cheap for everyday use, and even when they are in very good condition they still need TLC to keep em going. Plus the gas bills... It's best to have a daily beater, and if you can afford it in the future, buy a classic car for...
