    1968 Hemi Road Runner Test

I saw Jimmy Addison run the Silver Bullet om Square Lake Rd. A couple of times. What a beast! A friend of mine built a "T" roadster with a Rat 427 built at Diamond engines, Actually beat Jimmy out there one night. Home for the Silver Bullet was a Sunoco gas station on Woodward Ave owned and run...

    1968 Hemi Road Runner Test

I grew up in Detroit in the 60's and was fortunate to be a car guy. Lots of time spent on Woodward ave, Square Lake road, I-75, Telegraph road among others. I had a brand new A12 Road Runner in early 69. I learned about the factory prepared image cars most manufactures unleashed on the streets...

Winston Cup No Bull million dollar bill.

Remember the Winston Cup million dollar bonus awards from the late 90's? Here are some of the bills from Oct 11 1998 won by Dale Jarrett at Talladega Superspeedway' These are "uncirculated" and saved by a employee of the track. They are available. Rare NASCAR collectible. PM me. Photo is both...

    I went 151.24mph today

I would highly recommend doing this to anyone who likes to drive fast. I would check around a little as there are other programs available. Petty is the highest profile one but they use composet body cars purpose built for their use, whereas most others use retired NASCAR race cars. Almost all...

    Winston Cup "No Bull"

Does anyone remember the Winston "No Bull" series? Qualified drivers could win a million dollar bonus for winning a few designated races during the season. When a driver was successful at winning an armored truck would lap the track with Million dollar bills spilling out from behind as well as...

    NA$CAR Demise

The gonad less millennial drivers need to go back to their mommies to. Hell, they can't even complete a race without breaking it up in segments. Mark Martin, who hated Talladega, once won a green flag to checker race there, no caution. Most of the drivers had to be lifted out of their cars that day.

    NA$CAR Demise

The recent Darlington race was called a sellout. Looked like it to. I got a chuckle out of that. Darlington and Rockingham are about 50 miles apart and both held two races a season way back in the early 90's which were usually all sellout's. Then came the expansion and cookie cutter 1 1/2 mile...

I dug out some old NASCAR stuff.

WOW..... This thread went downhill. From a post about cool vintage NASCAR collectables to a opinionated rant about the sport......? :soapbox: :drama:

I dug out some old NASCAR stuff.

All done in the intent of creating a level playing field. Nothing has ever been banned, just rule changes to even the completion. A good thing. It's still a constant issue but was much more prevalent back in the day of the aero cars and the hemi. It's a business. Let one competitor dominate and...

I dug out some old NASCAR stuff.

These date to the late 70's early 80's. Serious NASCAR man cave stuff. They are laminated placemats with some old favorite drivers and cars. backside is all their stats up to 77/80. I'll have them at Carlisle so start saving up. :)
