    Nice pick up

Just a thought, it may be possible they used a 2dr coupe for the conversion and front doors off a 4dr car?

Your thoughts on paint color change 1966 Imperial convertible

With 514 66 convertibles built, and over half a decade later, even fewer are on the road. So, my suggestion stay with original color. Paint jobs are not cheap, color changes only drives up the cost in supplies and prepping the body in every nook and cranny. Any bolt on mods or upgrades are fine...

Take LOTS of pics for reference points! Taking off too much metal in one shot can lose any reference points for fabrication..lol.

    68 imperial 8 track?

Being a thumbwheel, it would be a factory option or listed in the 68 accessory catalogue. 68 was the first year 8 track was available in Mopars.

So I bought this one today.

I visited Matt in June. His priority was to get the Director "mobile" since it and a couple other Imps take up all his space,Lol! I had seen his attention to details first hand and I can ensure you it will be done right when she is ready for the road.

So I bought this one today.

I was at @detmatt shop last week. The Director Imp is impressive. It was cool to get to play with the rare seats and table option. No doubt the shop is full! It was an honor and pleasure to meet him in person after all these years talking online. Here he is with his stash!

    A518 conversion on a pushbutton 727

With the OD trans, you will need 3.55 gears and 23575r15 tires. Engine should be at 2000 rpm cruising at 65 MPH. If I remember correctly, get a pre-electronic transmission from a 1988 to 1995 truck that does not require a computer control module. Hope this helps.

    A518 conversion on a pushbutton 727

Steve Hobby has a 62 New Yorker and has been engineering the factory pushbuttons to work on his OD trans. Aka the Blue Diamond, that he bought from Scott Allred years ago. He should have the prototype ready by this year. Sorry no pics as he may patent the design. @Snotty
