    Tire pressure?

A combination of both, but mostly from the radial tires. The shocks job is to keep the tires planted to the ground. The firmer the shock, the more road feel FROM the tires.

    Tire pressure?

To keep it simple.. From bias ply to radial add 6 psi. Basic rule of thumb is whatever the car manufactured tire pressure is in 1957 it would be say 24 or 26 PSI, Then your new radials can be set at 30 or 32 PSI. Done. Kyb shocks do have a firmer ride. Think about it, going with gas charged...

Thanks for sharing! Barry Washington and/ or Doug Hammer of the Hamtrmk Registry may be interested. I donated all my literature to them via CD- ROM and I know first hand how much time and work is involved scanning and downloading documents. Keep up the good work!

'56 Imperial my parents bought in 1970.

Very rare first year 4 door hardtop. The rear door window mechanism is quite and engineering feat. Great family heirloom! Just over 1500 were built and god only knows how many are still alive today.

    What Happened To DeSoto

Desoto and Fargo nameplates were still used in other countries at the time. Some were pre-assenbled at the Windsoe,Ontario plant, then shipped and final assembly at their destination. Obviuosly this car is a Plymouth body with Desoto front clip. I am guessing pic taken sonewhere in Europe or...

    Bought a 58 Ghia Limo

I am 5'8" and it was a snug fit for me. I will have to dig through my archives and share any pics I saved. The Ghia I looked at had Firestone bias ply wide whites on it. Funny thing the Firestone family is related to the Henry Ford family by marriage yet commisioned an Imperial Ghia Limo!

    Bought a 58 Ghia Limo

Congrats Mike! Whats the history behind it? I do remember 15 years ago sitting in a 58 at an auction that belonged either to the Firestone or Dupont family. My friend was bidding on it but was outbid at the time.

    1960 Dodge Dart--Latest Photos

Still running points? I recommend doing a recurve in the distributor and add Pertronix electronic ignition. Make sure the advance wieghts in the distributor are not stuck, and the vacuum advance should be operational for best low end take off. I agree bumping the timing will help with today's...

    1956 Plymouth Fury

First of all, congrats on scoring a very rare car! One of 4,458 As you may know, the 56 Fury came only in one color with the gold anodized trim, special interior and a dual quad Poly V8. The disc brakes appear to be GM Chevy S-10 brakes. Pretty generic and common on a lot of GM applications...
