Look for the rubber connector line where the steel fuel line crosses intothe frame by the transmission. It is kind of hidden and often overlooked. Mark

Build Card received from Stellantis today :)

I live in Detroit and retired from Chrysler so I'd like to add some background here. The '68 and newer records were lost in a warehouse fire. This was in the Chrysler bankruptcy and "last one out of Detroit turn out the lights" era. Employees didn't know if they woudl have a company or a job...

    Potential Project

I revived a Michigan 66 T&C that sat unused from '79 to 2008. I spent $3000 on parts to get it safely running, every part that had any kind of fluid in it had to be replaced; brakes, fuel, power steering, radiator, water pump, etc.. It cleaned up well but even with low miles Michigan had its way...

    New Member, New Polara

My parents had a new 69 Chrysler Town and Country back in the day. The rear end sagged almost from new. 15 year old me convinced my dad to install airshocks, it helped the level and the ride, and the car went to the junkyard at 120K miles with the shocks still on it.... Mark

    Timing chain/gear?

If your upper timing gear has plastic teeth, it is the original. Get rid of it. Technically these are non-interferennce engines, but the clearances may be getting loose. My 383 Magnum bent a few valves when my chain jumped a few teeth. Then there is the tow truck..... Mark

    Molded carpet

All Chrysler wagons then used the 121" wheelbase shared with Plymouth and Dodge wagons versus the 124" for other Chrysler models. I suspect you will have more carpet than you need. Mark

    Power window

I have made M body (Fifth Ave, Diplomat, etc.) window motors work by switching brakets and connectors. A trip to a junkyard may get you something, check th eback doors since they tend to be used less often. Mark

    1965 frame

The only other difference is that column mount transmission selectors are essentaily a holdover for pushbutton shifters. If the swap retains that shifter, a column swap will fix it, since you are not using the original transmission anyway. M

    1965 frame

The 65 C Body has a unique one year driver side (only) motor mount setup. Instead of trying to describe it, see the Shumacher website that has some good illustrations of the difference. It is not a huge difference, and probably a little welding can make it work - lots easier than getting a whole...

New tires and wheels for my 66 New Yorker

This is my 65 300 with M body 15inch wheels and disc brake wheelcovers, I also did the disc brake upgrade. The car didnt notice the change, the speedo is off about 5%. Get gas shocks and the suspension will be fine with the radials. So much more secure stopping, you cant get good shoes easily...

I just don't understand... Just what is a 1963 Chrysler, anyway?

Mechanically, the 63 and 64 have more in common with the forward look cars - pushbutton transmission, tapered axles, engine compartment HVAC, 4 bolt valve cover B- engines, bubble windshields, etc. - than the 65 and later cars. You may find more information in the forward look section. My 2...

Remove Tailgate Glass - Tailgate Open 66 Town and Country

Hello; I read through the threads about opening dormant tailgates if the power window will not lower. I have the opposite problem. My power window is down in the tailgate, which can open. I need to remove the glass so I can access fasteners for the trim. The shop manual says to remove the...

Power Steering Fluid for 65 C Body

Hello; Ex Mopar Parts Div. product manager here, I used to manage this stuff. Power Steering fluid in our era of recirculating ball boxes was formulated for heat and noise resistance properties, that are not present in ATF. Current parts store PS product is the same thing. ATF +4 is backwards...
