A Quick Overview Of My Custom Powder Coating Work ...

Leanna's Powder ****!!! You dream it up and I'll make it happen!

General Information

I am a Mopar parts restoration and custom one-off specialist. I helped pioneer my industry in the 90s with the most distinctive multi-color custom powder coating work you have ever seen! A few selected work samples are shown here. For more information, to see hundreds more work samples (only 25 are allowed here), check out years of customer feedback or to request a quote, go to my website at Phoenix Specialty Coatings ~ Exceptional Custom Powder Coating, shoot me a Private Message or call me at 731.613.9192.

I've owned (and been working on) my 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback since 1991. As an enthusiast well before I was a business owner, I'm very conscious of the cost of a restoration. I do everything in my power to keep labor costs to a minimum while highly exceeding your expectations on the quality of work performed.

I quote every job individually to be fair to everyone. Please forward a few good pictures of the parts (especially close ups of any dings, dents, divots and other damage) along with your color scheme ideas and I'll get back to you with an estimate. The shop's email address is PhoenixSpecialtyCoatings@yahoo.com.

Please pay close attention to the Before and After pictures on my website -- you'll note that unlike other powder coating shops, I try to get your metal as close to perfect as possible first before any powder is applied. In most cases, I spend a lot more time on metal work than I do on anything else whether the part is brand new or has been in use for decades.

Straight up, despite the fact that PSC does no formal advertising and relies strictly on Word of Mouth (the best advertising money CAN'T buy!!!), I've been pretty swamped the last few years and have a rather lame turn around time. It's just me and Billy, and he helps me out with heavy blasting, shop maintenance and occasional welding -- the rest is all on me. If you have a rush or a show coming up, don't hesitate to give me a call to discuss it. I have yet to miss a deadline and keep a calendar of Due Dates since everyone I work for has their own build schedule.

PSC is now offering a Labor Discount to all FCBO Members! Gold Members will receive a 10% labor discount and all others are entitled to a 5% labor discount across the board. (Veterans, active and retired military personnel and law enforcement officers are also well taken care of ... PSC supports our troops!!) Be sure to mention you're a FCBO member when you call to discuss details or write for a quote.

If you're interested in getting a quick overview of my capabilities and checking out the shop, I invite you to watch the new Introduction Movie on YouTube at . Of course, your comments and questions are always welcome and appreciated!

Thank you for taking a few moments to check out a bit of my work! I welcome the opportunity to earn your business and to turn those dreams about your baby into reality. :D

Beautiful looking work. I'd like some hint at cost, for example, the '70 black dual snorkel air cleaner in your picture gallery, how much to coat that??

Thank you @Fury440! Everything that crosses my bench is charged the same, $40 an hour. The FAQ on my website is the place to start and is tailored to new customers. Reading through it will save you a substantial amount of money. The majority of labor on a dual snorkel goes to bodywork and blasting; if I had to pick an average I'd go with around $300 but every one is different. Feel free to get in touch with some good close ups and we can go from there. Thanks again!

It is tiring to see paint on engine parts burn off. It is news to me that rocker covers and intake manifolds can be powder coated. Is it a special kind of heat-resistant powder coat? I always used spray engine paint and have been disappointed with the deterioration with time.

Metal needs proper prep to provide durability and longevity. Powder USES heat to effectively bond with a properly-prepared surface (typically blasting). Powders like those above are generally able to withstand 500-600 degrees without adverse effect. As long as your engine has a good tune up and you don't attack it with anything you wouldn't rub on an auto paint job (i.e. Comet cleanser), it will outlast a spray job for decades. Thanks for checking out my stuff!
