1948 Chrysler Crown Imperial Limousine - $6,800 - Sun City, Arizona

FB Description

Classic Chrysler with all original parts, complete vehicle, no major damage, no rust, and clean interior. Engine will not run and we have not diagnosed it… too many other projects. This car needs very little and would be a fun project for someone with a little time. The title is clean and clear from Minnesota. Asking $6800 obo. All reasonable offers will be considered.

You'd have to reach out to the seller. Not the poster of the thread.
yes, I understand - it's an old post & not finding anything. There were 750 made from 46 - 48, probably fewer that 200 the final year? My understanding is there are 3 still around, only 1 running. Hard to verify. There are a few in this group going back a while. If it is true there is only 1 running, I recently bought that car. Explains my curiosity.

Point is the OP just posted a random Chrysler ad he thought would be Interesting. He doesn't own the car nor knows any info about it.

there's another thread from @azblackhemi on this car, several months later.

this car might have "porpoised" a couple times since then.

NOT MINE - 1948 Chrysler On FB

best of luck tracking it down.
thx for taking the time to reply - not sure if you saw my post above. Looking around to see what is still out there.

There was one on BAT that was bid up to $3950 in October last year, did not meet reserve. It went up again on BAT this past January, bid up to $6166 but again did not meet reserve. It has California title.

See also (from 2015) this:

Indeed there was 1 on BAT, I was the high bidder in January & tried to negotiate with the seller off & on since then. He wouldn't budge on price. In all fairness, he put a significant amt. of time & parts into to get it running well. I finally picked it up Friday, I could not pass it up - it's quite the ride. Went to Cars & Coffee Saturday am & people were crawling all over it. This looks like a great place to learn & meet good peeps.

I have seen more than three of these come up for sale over the years, some stock, some modified. Perhaps try contacting this club to get in touch with other owners? Classic Car Club of America These are considered full classics by the CCCA Approved Classics | Classic Car Club of America

thank you - yes I would think so too. I sent them an email, sure appreciate the suggestion. Being in CA with all the EPA standards etc is a challenge re paint & chrome. Biggest decision is restore it or leave it the same. Lots of opinions lol.
