Gee, restoration to such a condition surely over 100k, there's collector interest in these helping to drive up the cost.

I hate to think what my 73 LeBaron would sell for in such condition if they were valued by collectors.

Look at it like this, Chrysler's best car, rarity compared to Cadillac and Lincoln, prices should skyrocket if they're ever valued so I for one am grateful that I have such a car.

Probably because it'll start to deteriorate- scratches, dirt etc, so he sells while the value is high.

Must be an "investor" type. It's a waste not to drive and enjoy a car like that. I'll bet it drives like a dream and has very effective "seat o' the pants" feeling when you punch it, though.

This Desoto could easily be a "Hurst" tribute car, lol.

It belongs to a friend of mine and the C-body world. Retired from Chrysler after years of building one-off prototypes and Vipers, he has been restoring this car for years. As to "why" he's selling... if I know him, he's bored now that the work is done.

Smart buyers will insist that the matching dress his wife made (from a '57 pattern) be included in the deal.
