Spectacular car. But I wonder what's going on with the mis-aligned driver's door. Given the quality of the of the fit and finish of rest of the car, that messed up door really stands out.

Could it be that they did not close the door all the way before taking the picture?

"Sport" Fury in 1957?

Side trim appears badly aligned on both sides, typical 1950's quality control?

foreshortens the right side and really illustrates how badly aligned the trim is.

Asking because I don't know. Can the trim misalignment be corrected? Could it be due to the trim clips? Looks like the door gaps are good. I'd still take it in a heartbeat, its gorgeous!!

Wow! My father in law bought one just like this brand new back in the day. It's long gone, of course, the upstate NY winters did it in. I'd love to buy this one for him but I'm sure the $$$ will be pretty high, as they should be for a car of this caliber.

Agreed, I suspect it could have been corrected if realized before paint prep was completed. I think the front of the right side spear would need to be raised ~ 1" to make the passenger side look correct. 2¢

This pic suggests an extensive mediablast, which can cause some damage.
Never owned a car that really was in Need of such a radical large scale Body application.

Depends on what they were using. Sand blasting is one thing, media another. If they were using soda as the blasting media damage is minimal and cleanup is very easy.
