1965 Newport update

After a month or so of buying this from a tow yard, it lives! I had no history on it so I went through the trouble of inspecting the vital systems before trying to fire it up. I took apart the carburetor, gave it a good cleaning, and put it back on. Hooked up the fuel pump to an auxiliary fuel tank to avoid pulling rust from the tank. The carburetor still needs some tuning and I would like to check the ignition timing before I drop the tank to clean it out. I am so excited at the prospect of taking it for a drive soon.

Seriously! Only parts I've had to buy so far to get it running are a fuel filter and some gasket paper.
