Beautiful car - horrible ad. Maybe the reserve is stupid.

1966 DODGE POLARA 440

This vehicle was purchased by a salesman from the dealership he worked at - he kept this vehicle from new for many years. All the receipts for the car are still in it - proving the mileage as the odometer reading is on the bills. I purchased this car from him in the 80's and it has been kept in my barn till now.

It is completely road worthy - in excellent mechanical condition - I would take this car for a long trip without any concerns. It has no rust whatsoever - it has original Chryco tires and wheels. Everything about the car is original except the paint - I had it painted as the sun dulled the paint. There is one scratch on the drivers side door - not sure how it got there. Other than that it is in perfect order.

Beautiful Polara! I would get rid of those yellow lights in 2 seconds. Looks like he drilled holes to mount them.

The Canadian Dodge Polara, not sure about Monaco came with a Plymouth dash in 65 and 66 instead of the double circle instrument cluster. I remember in those years my dad worked at a GM dealer. Canadian Pontiacs were built on a Chevrolet chassis and they were called the Strato Chief, Laurentian, and Parisienne. The American Pontiacs, Bonneville and Catalina etc had the Pontiac wide track chassis and 8 lug wheels which you couldn't get in Canada. Second class citizens up here.

You probably hear moose bellowing more than people up there. LOL!

Wow! this is bizarre! I live in Red Deer where the Polara originated & I was just wondering just last week where this car went! I've known about the car since the early 70s as my family knew Bob Ross, the original owner. I always thought it was a Monaco but once I saw the yellow fogs lamps I knew that was it. Haven't seen it in over 30 years until now!
