How does this PS pulley get removed? I have only done PS without this hex in it. FSM shows a special tool that I do not have.
This car has sat since in a garage since 1978, it's been a 3 1/2 year journey so far and I believe it will be back on the road soon.
A couple of pics when it came to my shop.

Thanks, Jim

Hard to tell from the top pic. Is there a groove around the center hub?

If so, there's this. Pulley Remover and Installer Set, 12 Piece I can't say 100% it would work, but take a look.

Or, walk into an Auto Zone (or similar) that has a tool loan program with the pump and see if they have a puller that would work.

Yes go get the puller. I cut an Allen wrench to fill the hex hole so the puller arbor wouldn’t bugger up the hex hole, and used the puller from Oreileys. To put it on you remove the can and press the pulley back on While supporting the shaft from behind.

But is it just leaking from the canister o ring? I’ve changed several of them and the pumps we’re working just fine.

Thank you very much!! Those threads helped a lot. I did not know if the hex was part of the shaft or was removable. Guess I'll have to apply some heat.
I have been trying to remove with puller, It was bending the flange and not moving. Thought I was doing it wrong.
