1966 PLYMOUTH FURY III Hardtop Coupe.
Original Beauty.

$12,500 OBO

JUST REBUILT THE ORIGINAL AND POLYSPHERICAL 318 last month, bored over 20.
You can eat off it, not even broken in.
Less than 200 miles on rebuild. Have all receipts.
I’d hate if someone were to swap it out for a “hotter” engine, as the POLY is a rare, smooth and surprisingly efficient engine with plenty of go compared to later 318s.
Run with highway traffic all day without breaking a sweat. Would not hesitate to drive this car across country today.

With a few mods this engine would be a screamer if you needed to. There are sources for Poly upgrades. I kept it stock except for the overbore. (Over 20)
But, it is up to you, of course!

3-Speed Automatic
14,700 miles on odometer, surely turned over.

What else is new:

New BLACK VINYL HARDTOP in excellent shape.
New STAINLESS EXHAUST by Kepich.
New OEM WHEELS from Wheel Vintiques.
New TIRES – Coker BF Goodrich, correct Bias Ply, thin whitewall. Less than 200 miles on them. Mounted with rebuild last month.
New ALTERNATOR.
New beefed up rear LEAF SPRINGS; car has a subtle rake to its stance.
New engine and transmission MOUNTS.
New PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD. Dash gauges are bright at night.
New BATTERY.
ALIGNMENT performed with new tires – drives straight as an arrow.

Lots of work has gone into preserving and improving this elegant, pillarless coupe in my 10 years of ownership, so much I lost track.

Original Beige Paint presents well; there are some minor dings and touch-ups. I haven’t repainted because to my eyes it is still beautiful and only original once.
Chrome Brightwork is excellent.
ORIGINAL Vinyl Gold interior with cloth inserts.
Front bench could use reupholstering at some point, but it's original and not bad, cloth worn through in the driver tush area.
All exact upholstery is available through SMS. I have the samples for ordering and will include with the car.
Headliner, Door Skins and Original Carpet are excellent.
All Glass is excellent.
There is a bit of surface rust on the undercarriage, and a small spot under the trunk floor corner that will need patching.
Nothing missing, complete car.
Drives straight, smooth and runs like the wind.
Just performed a $500 detail job.

Asking $12,500 OBO
Title in hand.

Why sell after all this work? Covid shutdown has hurt my business, and sadly must liquidate what assets I have. Otherwise, I would have kept her forever. My loss is your gain.
Car is in Bucks County, PA.
Glad to show in person if you’d like to schedule a visit.
Thank you for reading!
Michael
