Not Mine - sorry if we had this one before - "ran when parked" - $ 1,800
Rust might be an issue, but it is a two-door hardtop with its interior in good shape, the car also looks like it still has the original paint. Also note the vent windows on this (non-A/C) two-door hardtop.

1969 Chrysler Newport 2 Door

All original 383 2bbl, auto 77,000 original miles last started in 2000 was parked because tranny was starting to slip previous owner told me had been stored in his garage since 1991 until I got it last fall . I haven't had time to work on it and not sure when I will so hoping someone with time will take it and get it going again instead of just sitting under my carport call or text for more info. Thanks for looking

If it would run&drive I could see a boat trip in its future (not to me though)

Love it! And it is big enough to sleep in after the divorce!:(

Those seats weren't great at holding up well after 100K miles, so given the appearance of the interior and the rest of the car, I believe the 77K mile claim. The big question for me would be whether the engine still spins over if I were interested in this one. I agree it is a very bare bones car except it is equipped with an AM 8 track tape radio system, which includes the 3 speaker dash, so you could put in an AM/FM stereo radio in place of the AM and the AM/FM stereo would work.

I see hitches front and back - maybe he pulled a trailer with a boat on it or something - maybe why the transmission slips, unless it is low on fluid. I called him briefly and he answered while he was working (a lot of background noise) but he did say the engine spins and he almost got it to fire but didn't go further. He didn't think it was rusty but I didn't press him on that since he was right in the middle of something and I am not going to buy it anyway, but would definitely consider it if I was in the market. Just wanted to pass the info on to someone who might just be able to get a good car at a very good price IMO from what I am seeing.
