yeah, like @rags said, mostly "scenic" exterior shots, and pics of vintage police communications stuff in/on the car. No fender tag. No seat condition shown. Looks authentic but nothing confirms this except seller's representation. Asking $20,000.

This is full description:

"Seller's Description

1969 Polara Nevada Highway Patrol pursuit vehicle, stored in Nevada desert warehouse for decades runs and drives strong this would be a difficult one to duplicate this car and the contents of warehouse will be liquidated this week. Located in Mound House Nevada."

damn cool car, would love to have it or at least drive it to see what ÜNLIMITED feels like or was that a 72 Polara?

What is the hole in front of the drivers front fender blinker?

If I was a police car person I would be all over this, if successful to talk them down from $20k

Edit: Not for a clone car though. Funk.

Still a good looking car though. I wonder if the data tag is provided loose with the car, at least?

Looks like the car was restored then put in bad storage. You can tell from the pics he is hiding some of the patina on the car. Should be a DK41L 440HP car though.

Correct, that is the car @mopar preferred does refer to...instantly had this in mind, but just digged in my photos to doublecheck and...bingo...it is the car offered in 2018.

This is NOT a real police car, but a CLONE IIRC. I saw it offered on craigslist (Stockton, CA area?) but did not save the ad itself. Price the was 6-8k$ ish...definately under 10k.

Car belonged at that time of 2018 (or earlier) to a member here, who also had a real 69 CHP-Polara that I think he bought either afterwards or the purchase of the CHP was the reason this NHP-clone was left over and put of for sale.

Engine was a 383-2bbl. Some pics of the 2018 engine-bay attached...looks the same as today.

So the 20k$ asked today will buy you a just CLONE..not my piece of cake, especially for that much money. But each to his own.

nothing gets past this group. :)

with all due respect to the current owner, people can ask whatever they think their cars are worth, and then the market will sort it out.

but real police cars need unambiguous, fleet pedigree documentation if available, but at a minimum self-evidencing "numbers" on the car itself (VIN, tags, broadcasts, etc.) as it left the factory, to realize their full value in a transaction.

"clones", no matter how well done, may do better in a transaction IF this fact is disclosed beforehand .. not "discovered" by a potential buyer.

for this one, however, the current asking price is unlikely to be realized. I have no dog in the fight for this one, so I have no other valuation input.

I wish seller and any new owner the best however.

I stand corrected. Guess there is a reason he didn't post the fender tag.

I too remember this 69' Polara. It was for sale about five years ago in the San Francisco Bay Area on Craigslist for around 8K. I was thinking of looking at it till a buddy told me that it was a clone. He told me that it had been produced several years earlier and that the weathered look was due to the being left outside. At the time I really liked the weathered look of the Polara and thought it was amazing that a Nevada Highway Patrol squad car had somehow survived nearly 50 years in its original "On Duty" paint. I was disappointed to find out that it wasn't the real deal. I still think that this 1969 Polara is a great looking vehicle, just not at Twenty Thousand Dollars. I hope it finds a good home.

Yes, I believe that's my old car. I did have an original 69 CHP Polara at the same time. The paint was nice when I sold it. No idea how they weathered it like that.

Mound House is just East of Carson City on US Hwy 50. Fifty miles or so SE of the Reno airport.

This would be a cool build, but I'm not the guy to do all that, unfortunately. I'd do it up as either a Colorado Highway Patrol unit, or build as a Nevada unit.
