1969 Chrysler Imperial - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle...

1969 1969 chrysler Imperial
condition: fair
cylinders: 8 cylinders
fuel: gas
odometer: 115000
title status: clean
transmission: automatic
This is a true barn find. It sat in a literal barn from 1996 till last year. The tank was drained and keys left in the air cleaner. There's more story to that but after a year, we have clear, new mexico title. It has the higher compression 440, 727Auto and everything is there and original. I did replace the starter with higher torque starter and have original Holly. I have a video made on it and can send a link to interested buyers. For now, selling as is before I decide to work on it more. Would rather it go to someone who likes these behemouth cars. Asking 6k or best offer on it.

Haha! The ATC II always scares me off; I have neither the skills nor the patience to deal with that. Have you checked it out in person? Sure seems nice.
Actually this one looks like it doesn't have Auto Temp. Haven't seen it, Albuquerque is about a 12 hour round trip for me.

I'm very new in the C body world; I should've said plain ATC; I think ATC II came along in 1973? From what I've gleaned so far from other members and looking on the Hamtramck Registry site, for '69 it was either ATC or no A/C, with no manual a/c available. If it was manual a/c I might be interested. Is there a way to tell from looking at these pics?

Top picture large black box to the left of the air cleaner is the ATC control box. Bottom picture of the car in Albuquerque has the regular small heater control valve.

I would suspect being a N.M. car that there is zero rust on this imperial.
Looks pretty nice and very clean.

Are those proxy email addresses reusable? I thought they were unique to each solution of a captcha and ip address. Might someone who uses it get flagged as a bot? Or maybe the email would just not be delivered to the seller?

Also, is it ok to post a seller's phone number? I thought I read not to; that's why I edited it out in my original post. But maybe it's ok in this particular forum? I'm very new here though, so maybe someone can clarify. Thanks!

I just post them up. When someone with an ad on the internet is willing to post their phone number I feel I can post their phone number also. Plus, when someone comes back to this thread in 2 years, they can call the guy about his car and see if it sold.

I would not post my phone number or your phone number on the internet. Unless it is in my own craigslist ad.

Not sure about being proxy emails. Click one and see if he replies.
I believe I have used those emails from other folks who have posted them.

The water valve under the hood is the first version ATC and the fender tag that just showed up shows H53, which also confirms that this car is indeed equipped with ATC. Given that the car has 115K miles on it, that indicates most everything in the power train department and chassis will need to be gone through to ensure a reliable vehicle. It also has the Budd disc brakes that may still be difficult and expensive to source parts for anymore.

The body and interior do look nice though..........................

Yes the regular heater controls are much less trouble than the auto climate control with that dreaded bakelite servo module that always cracks and then leaks!!
