1969 to 1973 Plymouth Fury YouTube Video

I normally do not look at such videos which have "Untold Secrets" or similar in the titles. I have observed that they usually have a good bit of misinformation in them and show customized vehicles rather than stock vehicles. Even incorrect-platform vehicles, too. In earlier times, I suspected many were done by 30-somethings who have only read of these vehicles rather than really tracked and followed them from when they were new. Now, it seems that many might be AI-generated in computer-read dialogue and content. It also appears that much of the video content came from Facebook posts or YouTube creators showing off their customized cars. For example, I noticed several images from the Rocket Restorations website and YT vids.

One faux pas was the image of a Belvedere police car rather than a Fury police car.

Another was in talking about the "nimble handling", aa "a tight turning radius" was mentioned. As the real specs indicate a turning radius a few feet wider in diameter tha similar GM cars!

To me, the "bad thing" is that somebody just starting to learn about these, or any, cars will see the somewhat sensationalistic video title to gain "insider knowledge", which is seriously lacking, by observation. IF they know the difference between a user-modified car and a production-correct car, that is a plus.

What was ill-presented was the fact that each level of Plymouth Fury model had an equivalent Chevrolet model competitor, since the middle 1960s. Fury I = Biscayne, Fury II = BelAir, Fury III = Impala, Sport Fury = Impala SS, with the Fury GT = Impala SS 427. Forgotten was the Fury VIP = Caprice!

The reason I relented and watched this video is that I was bored. With a low-bar set for informational accuracy. One thing I noticed decades ago in the car hobby was that identifying the BEST sources of information can be important, such that money is not wasted on parts or services. Now knowing which videos to watch for REAL and accurate information has to be included in that mix, too!

Y'all have fun!
