I've had this car a long time and hate to let it go. Estimation of getting it presentable and safe is beyond my ability. Too much rust according to my mechanic. Good things are that the engine sounds great when running . 3speed auto Transmission works. I got it started and drove it around my work this week. Been told most would be interested in the engine and tranny . No blue or white smoke in exhaust. There are other great things. rear bumper is solid and taillights are good. Dash isn't cracked. Hubcaps in good condition Includes a brand new car cover that I paid 150 for and a 1970 service manual (for Imperial) I’ve driven this vehicle 80 mph years ago and it felt like it is just floating on a nice mattress.

I'm just guessing here but I doubt you'd want to go 60 on the freeway and I bet it feels like you're floating on a giant dog turd.
The rusted out floor looks like the car would break in half if you hit a Chihuahua.

But hell the car survived and wasn't scrapped years ago.

From the build sheet, the car has an E2Y4 gold interior. That's hard to tell from the pics. Without the fender tag, and given the missing parts of the uiold sheet, it is difficult to tell if the car was originally EW1: if so, that's the first white/gold Newport 'vert I've seen.
