Got to admit this is a new one on me. Speaking of odd vinyl top material...


"1970 Chrysler Newport 4 door hardtop, sold new in Bucksport. its current owner is the 2nd owner. this model is the Cordoba edition, according to Hemmings Motor News one of 1873 produced in 1970. 86,000 miles, never used winters. the Cordoba edition featured special gold paint "Aztec" body side molding, an "Espanol" vinyl roof(with Aztec motif)gold painted wheels, gold trimmed hubcaps, and an Aztec hood emblem.the Aztec theme continued through the gold interior, including its vinyl seats and door panels, as well as the dash and glovebox.
equipped with the 383 V8, 2 barrel carb, 290 HP, torqueflite transmission, 8 3/4 rear end.

Heard of this model before, pretty rare and all special items still there but showing some ageing.
Just ask for Stan if you need to locate some replacement stuff. ;)
 
That's pretty cool. I've known about them but never saw one in person.
 
Wish I stripped mine for parts but I was young and wanted my first car back on the road
 
Imagine trying to find replacements for those Cordoba emblems...
