You can probably consult the Dealer Order Guide for 1970 Plymouth C-bodies at
www.hamtramck-historical.com . Might need to manually input that address. I suspect there would be a better picture of the console there than in the sales brochure.
ONE thing that should be considered is that both the Order Guides and Sales Brochures were photographed a few months ahead of actual production starting. Just like the Factory Service Manuals, so as the fine print on the back of the sales brochure mentions . . . the OEM can change things from what is in the sales/order document at their discretion, when they decide to do so.
Personally, I like the woodgrain top of the "traditional" console more than the (harder to keep clean) brushed aluminum, but that is me. As woodgrain was also more upscale in those times, too, related to dash and door trim. Yet the padded console might better fit the "padded" orientation of the Fuselage interiors.
On the "traditional" console, there are a few threads in here about the console SHIFTER being longer on the C-body-only applications. Maybe an inch longer/taller? Yet I suspect they all have the same mounting flange where they attach to the floor pan.
I have a Slab factory console out of a Dodge that has the aluminum trim on top, with the "Performance Indicator" at the front. A padded cushion at the rear, too, in black. Carpet on the side in black, too. I bought it at a swap meet back in the 1980s to possibly replace the buddy seat in my '67 Newport (white seats and black carpet). The aluminum trim will go nicely with the '67 Newport dash trim, too.
Years later, not installed, but "under the bench" in the shop.
Enjoy!
