1971 Chrysler Newport - 2DR, 383 cu engine, 727 auto transmission, straight body, runs good, interior upholstery is super clean, needs some work but great project car... especially for mopar fans.

email me if you're interested, I'll be in the white mountains 10/13-10/14th to show the car

I just e-mailed him. Pinetop is a really nice place to be in the summer. If he contacts me and he still has and it it sounds good I'll take a ride up there. Sure would look good with road wheels on it Huh Stan?

If it weren't all the way across the country from me......I'd go and have a look on this one.....yes it's one pix.

I don't care if it has Conestoga Wagon wheels. I like the car. Keep us posted on what you find out.

The White Mountains are very nice..........Elevation 7200ft.

Just got an email back from him. Just missed. He says he got a deposit last night and the guy is picking up Saturday. He will call me if the guy flakes though.

I've seen more 71' Newports w/ 360's than 383's.....those are usually Newport "Custom" models. So guessing, although this one has the bigger motor, it might not be as nice on the inside.

Unfortunately too many of them are ending up in the hands of the wrong people.
6 months later, 26" wheels and a lime green paint job, it's back for 10 grand.

Yeah I know, that burns me up too. I HATE seeing nice one's end up that way...and I HATE the people who do that to them.

Everyone says "big deal, take off the rims and sell them".
No, it's NOT that simple. How about the 18" speaker holes......
And the lime green over the 55 gallon drum of Bondo.

I cringe when I see those cars. If they are going to keep those cars forever....do what you want. I don't think there's a big demand for them so I would think they don't often...especially for $10k.
