4 dr,ps,pb.440 engine w/headers and dual exhaust. Solid car, not original engine. Was told the motor is out of a 1975 motor home with low miles. Approx 110,000 miles on car. Edelbrock 4 bbl (rebuilt). Same owner for past 5 yrs. Car was stored in garage when not in use. Runs excellent. Will need interior work, paint isn't perfect but solid body, frame, trunk pan and floor pan. Call for more info(appreciated). Seventwofour33sixthreeeight53. Asking $3,000 or best offer. Thanks.

A $2500 car if I’ve ever seen one!

Was the royal line even available in 71? I thought 72. That’s a 71 but I don’t think royal. At least the headliner has 12 less tears in it than mine:lol:

I’ve got black aftermarket rug in mine, identical interior, seat stitching different style but always wondered what carpet color came with it.

For a little extra money, I would rather have this Newport:

1971 Chrysler Newport VERY GOOD CONDITION

1971 Chrysler Newport

cylinders: 8 cylinders
drive: rwd
fuel: gas
odometer: 64554
paint color: green
size: full-size
title status: clean
transmission: automatic
type: sedan

1971 Chrysler Newport. It has 64554 original miles and runs great. Has new master cylinder, calipers, brakes, and shoes and some of the brake lines also. Has a 383 in it and the carb has been rebuilt. Interior is in great condition also. Call show contact info
and ask for Jim or leave a message. Thanks

But both have been repainted, so you will not know what is underneath it without a good inspection, which I would do before I bought either one. Neither, though, is likely to get the asking price at least here in the U.S.

Did they badge it at all? I didn't see any. I love the door panels. Elegant but not too plush. Has a lean muscle car look inside.

The first one listed above appears to be a Royal since it has the abbreviated bump strip down the side of the car that ends at the rear of the front fender, near the front doors. The word "CHRYSLER" in script was followed by the word ROYAL in small letters below it. It is hard to tell if the first car has those or not.

The second example above is a regular Newport and you can also see it has more upscale door panels on it and full length bump strip moldings down the body sides. Therefore you will not find the word ROYAL on it. Also, regular Newports came with a 383-2 bbl engine as standard, although it could be ordered with optional power plants. The Newport Royals came with a 360-2 bbl engine standard but also could be optioned to bigger engines.
