Seller (who bought a molded upper radiator hose), writes:

"Offered for sale is my 1971 Chrysler Imperial four door. Imperial has a 440ci V8/Automatic. Runs and drives well. I've owned it for four years, in that time it has mostly been in indoor storage and I've come to the realization it could easily sit there for another four before I do anything with it. I had the radiator rebuilt, re-did the vinyl top and had rear brakes done a couple years ago. It's not going to win any beauty contests but it is a neat old cruiser, you could daily drive it with a few repairs or paint it and take it to the next level.

My favorite feature of the car is the flip up headlights, which still work great. It floats nicely down the road. Currently choke is not hooked up so it starts easily with a shot of starter fluid but is hard starting without. Runs nice and smooth once it is going. Needs a new set of tires. Front windows work, backs do not, back passenger door does not open currently. Pictures do the best job explaining cosmetic condition, if there's a specific area you'd like more pictures of I'm happy to get them. Any questions about the car I will do my best to answer, just let me know.

Selling car AS-IS, with no warranty or returns, trying to represent the car as honestly as possible, please look through pictures/ask questions before bidding, your bid represents your understanding of and agreement to these terms. Car is located in Brewster, Ma 02631. Offered with NO RESERVE, I'm serious about finding this Imperial a new home, please be serious if you're bidding on it.

Thanks!"

For Sale - 1971 Imperial

We had this with the Craigslist Infos.. Now on ebay the seller added more pictures..
The rusty front bumper makes me wonder how it looks underneath...most of the time there is a lot of metal rusted through before a chrome bumper starts to look like this .
I even doubt it's going to be a reliable daily driver seeing all those cosmetics inside the engine bay

I too wonder on the DD part..
Cruise is disconnected..
A/C doesn't work..
Windows not working..
Seats front and rear are a mess..
Air cleaner, gotta love it..
Battery looks great...
Did rear brakes but not the front... Fronts would be expensive to do..
And then there is the rust showing... yuck...

I am surprised bidding is as high as it is...

On the plus side, the new vinyl top looks good and the body is reasonably straight. Rust on front fenders and probably rear quarters appears minor. Glass appears good.

As noted in part above:

Color, non-stock wheels and air cleaner are a definite minus. Leather seats are trashed, car has ATC, another definite minus. Cruise control is disconnected and probably non-functional. Intake manifold has been repainted and may not be the stock item. Marine battery is leaking and may have compromised the brake tubing underneath. Engine compartment looks to have a lot of rust, would be curious as to the condition of the underside of the car, may have had significant salt exposure given the condition of the under hood area.

I'll bet that the inside of the cowl looks like the swiss cheese that was encountered in the "Dennis...that's his name" thread.

could still be a daily.
If you are tough enough and willing to do a lot of compromise.

You might need some rubber boots.......
