That's what it's all about!Agree! Every Plymouth fury is a labor of love. I own 1970, 1971, 1972 Plymouth Fury cars. Love each of them. The 1970 is a white convertible. I took my family to the beach in it today with the top down. There's just nothing like the looks you get and the comments you get driving your family to the beach. Of course, it's a lot of fun for my wife and children too.
When you refurbished the vapor separator tank, did you have to clean out the inside? Mine is plugged. Wondering if I can spray a can of carb cleaner into it and let it sit. ThanksRefurbishing original vapor separator tank. New gas tank with new 3/8" sending unit, 5/16" return added. New sending unit pigtail and grommet.

Hey sorry just seeing this now. My separator tank was in very bad shape and the output orifice tube (that runs to the passenger side valve cover breather) was clogged. It was scaled out inside, so i filled it with evaporust. Well after a week, a pinhole developed in it. I ended up cutting the back off of it. Then I removed the orifice tube with a small torch. Tried soaking it in muriatic acid, didn't do anything. Used a small drill bit to clear it out. Gave the opened up tank a quick bath in muriatic acid to remove a majority of the scale. Then washed up in baking soda in water. Spent about an hour with a flashlight finding any pin holes and solder them up. Followed up with POR15 gas tank sealer kit. Sealed up everything nicely even the insides of the tubes. Soldered brand new 22 gauge metal to cover the cutout. I put a patch on the inside of the tank and the outside as well. With the orifice tube now clear and other tubes as well, i plugged all but 1 tube and applied vacuum with a mityvac to see if it would hold a vacuum, which it did.When you refurbished the vapor separator tank, did you have to clean out the inside?
