1972 Chrysler Newport Coupe - $5,000 - Inkom, Idaho

FB Description

Selling for relative. 1972 Chrysler Newport 2 Door hard top sedan with 16,382 original miles. 400 engine. Has been covered and garaged since it was last parked. Has not been started in about 10 years, so it is currently not running. This thing is pretty cool, very big and boat like. Mint interior, decent tires, and a big enough trunk to sleep in. Let me know if ur interested.

first, and serioiusly, is it OK to comment in this section? (just send me a PM if you know the rules on comments .. lets not mess up this thread)

anyway, love it. dunno if 16K miles, but interior sure is cherry. not a buyer but hope somebody makes it a good home.

AFAIK, « not mine » threads are still free-speech zones. I trust that @tallhair or @Toolmanmike will not find my comments below objectionable.

This GY9 Newport is a beauty. The tilt wheel condition is consistent with the mileage claim. The V1G gold vinyl top seems to be curling up/lifting in places. Hopefully the engine turns, but even if it does not, assuming that the underside is solid, the price seems fair. Hopefully the jack is in there somewhere.

PS: the lack of bumper protectors is rare and shows off the fuselage look (as revised in 1972) in all its beauty.

You can comment on "Not Mine" sale threads.

Parked on a dirt floor, and I see parts of the carpet have been chewed. That would be a heart breaker if there was rodent damage and and rusted out frame. Other than that, GY9 makes a classy color combo and this one would be worth $5k all day long provided the aforementioned concerns are not an issue.

Going by the condition of the seat, steering wheel, sill plate, and pedals, that mileage could be legit.
I do like those 72 Chrysler’s and that one is a beauty.

Doesn't look like the spare has been used.
